Less Sunlight-
Friday, September 20, 2013Global Dimming
By the Air Pollution get large amounts suspended in the atmosphere. Cause the tiny particles that less sunlight reaches the ground.
This effect can hear my impression after something surprisingly rare. I have it in the first time in 2007 ORF gleaning [1] experienced. It states:
- Between the 1950s and 1990s, the extent to which the sunlight reaching the earth fell to 9% in Antarctica, 10% in the U.S., 30% in Russia and 16% in parts of the British Isles.
- Biologists firmly established in Australia in the 1990s, that the evaporation rate of water was dropped.
- Polluted air contains more particles. A drop of water can form on each particle. How do clouds with more but smaller droplets than in clean air. Many small droplets reflect more light than not so many big ones.
- As a result, the soil is shaded more under these clouds and stays cooler.
Interestingly, the relationship between global dimming and global warming : The two effects cancel each other out.
- Thus, to understand why the average air temperature on Earth rose sharply since the 1980s - because of the better filtered exhaust gases, which can decrease the global blackout.
- The greenhouse effect of carbon dioxide was previously underestimated.
The solution can not be natural to extend the exhaust filter. Instead, we may have to work harder to us to bring into balance the Earth's climate.
